DESCRIPTION: The destination this time was the Plate-Oh restaurant on Elmwood Ave. After a quick check to see who had arrived we sat down to renew old friendships. It was as if we had never stopped. It was all there, the laughter, the tears, the stories. Sigh But on to the business at hand. The Commish started us all off with a speech that wowed the crowds, and it got his speech giving sanction removed as well; but we ll be watching him closely. The Plat-Oh is a Greek joint that serves up Greek food. Really! Our fearless trio had the chicken finger wrap, and two Greek burgers. All above were served with fries extra for a measly .75 cents. The Greek burgers were large and were served up with feta cheese and offered with lettuce, tomato and onion. The Chicken Finger wrap was a cut up chicken finger with lettuce, tomato and blue cheese served in what appeared to be a wheat wrap. All was excellent. Prices for the above with three large soft drinks thrown in was about $26.00...not bad. I feel this was an excellent choice for the rebirth of our little group and a swell time was had by all.

DESCRIPTION: I tried several sushi dishes from their ala cart menu and the sushi & sashimi combo platter. The food was Excellent! Very flavorful, very fresh, and very beautifully presented. The service staff was very helpful and attentive. The atmosphere was very pleasant. It is a small place, but very nicely decorated. It is very typical for what you would expect from a Japanese restaurant. What sets Edoya apart is the chef. The chef is very well known in Rochester as one of the best. He is a very friendly native of Japan and makes sure each dish is the best. I would recommend Edoya over any of the other local options.

best in Rochester
DESCRIPTION: Edoya is the best sushi restaurant I've yet tried in Rochester (the others being California Rollin' in Village Gate and Plum House on Monroe). The food is amazingly good-- very fresh fish, well-seasoned rice, tasty miso-- and it's a really convenient place to get dinner before seeing a movie. It's also not terribly expensive compared to the others I've been to, though sushi on a student budget is always a stretch (which is why it's unfortunate that merely thinking about Edoya makes me crave sushi). While it's not a place with too many frills, it's a relaxing, unpretentious place to have some really good sushi, and despite the D&C's review, I've never had problems with the service there, partially because the waitress is never out of earshot/sight.

Try the Birdland Style Wings!!
DESCRIPTION: You have had nothing like this before. These ain't no Buffalo Wings! I would reccommend to try the sauce on the wings. It's a bit more daring, but a much better product this way. Even if you don't like blue cheese dressing, try their blue cheese dip. It's a perfect compliment to the sauce and the chicken. The wings are the biggest and juiciest I've ever had in my life. The coating or seasoning on the wings makes them crunchy on the outside.

Delicious
DESCRIPTION: Tender, juicy, and absolutely mouth watering. Sal's Birdland does chicken like no other. Their homemade macaroni salad is among the best I've ever tasted along with their tangy bleu cheese dip which is also a special recipe. I can't wait to go back and try something else on their menu. If you order a half chicken and you like it hot, order it swimming, you will make the employees smile.

Disney on Ice ..Lobster on the menu

The Stuffed Lobster was equally her favorite and we certainly shared the delicious lobster tail. Our trip was most memorable and we appreciate the evening we spent dining in your immaculate establishment. DESCRIPTION: One of the top restaurants in the Lake Placid area, bar none. Food, service, and atmosphere are professionally executed and are top-knotch. Prices are reasonable considering the value you'll receive. I've been a customer ever since they first opened and I will continue to visit every chance I can. Small-town America rediscovered!
DESCRIPTION: What an experience! If you've never been to a soda fountain before, or if you wish you could visit one again, then you have to see this place! Remember those flavored Cokes you used to love. Decades ago just about every small town in America used to have a soda fountain similar to this one. These days it's almost impossible to find one. Home-made dishes at very reasonable prices, friendly waitreses that actually talk to you (imagine that), and the experience of dining in a vanishing icon that represents what small-town America used to be like. Glass showcases of delicious hand-dipped chocolates and candy greet you when you walk in the door and make you think about having dessert first. This is a favorite gathering spot with the locals. Why eat that "fast-food" stuff when you can have real food and a real flavored Coke made the way it's supposed to be made, all for the same amount of money or less? Kid friendly. Definitely a must-see for the entire family.

Worst food ever!!
DESCRIPTION: Took my wife to this restaurant 9/27/03 for dinner, we ordered the chicken and shrimp alfredo with fried calimari for appetizer, the calimari was so stale and dried up, it was like eating rubber bands fried in batter. Our meal had no taste, in fact the worst meal we ever eaten. Never knew alfredo sauce was brown! I ask to speak to a manager because there was no way we were going to eat that this and get sick. the "chef" came out with an attitued that he was cooking for 35 years and he "tasted our meal" before sending it out! I don't know what I am ordering. I live in Manhattan, I know what Italian food taste like!! I would never recommend anyone to buy from Italian Supreme Restaurant. I just paid the bill in full and walked out. I am sure if I had eaten that food I would've been sick.

DESCRIPTION: I'd heard of this place a few times recently and thought, hey, lets give this a try. I'm not always up for something new, but this was definitely worth it. Everything was fresh, the salsa fresh, even the corn salsa you could tell was shelled right in the kitchen. Reminds me of restaurants I tried the last time I was in Flagstaff, AZ. Let's do Santa Fe again sometime, definitely worth it.

Big Disappointment
DESCRIPTION: After noticing a few favorable reviews of the establishment in local tourist-oriented publications (always to be taken lightly because of their pro-business agenda), I took my family there for dinner in June, 2003. We were disappointed with the food. Service and ambience were satisfactory. Instead of being a piquant and refreshing appetizer, the salsa was overly seasoned with a confusing mixture of various herbs. The fried plantains were burnt and cloyingly sweet. The nachos were dry and uninspiring. The other dishes were generally mediocre, at best. And I'm being generous here. (My two children wore "thumbs-down" frowns from start to finish.) The margarita, on the other hand, was wonderful, what little of it there was in the tiny glass! We won't go back and would not recommend this restaurant.

Great Place
DESCRIPTION: My brother and I wanted to try restaurants in the area and asked some local friends where to go... they suggested Santa Fe.. The tiny hamlet is amusing and a wonderful find in summer. Chips are filling enough by themselves when hungry. Margaritas are fantastic. With the main dishes.. try anthing with their molle sauce. Very tasty and wonderful. Tried the torte for dessert with coffee, and it was perfect completion of the meal. mmmmmm

Great Little Diner
