A different world
DESCRIPTION: Old Country Buffet is the King of all buffets, besides Captain George's seafood buffet in Virginia Beach. A friend and I went in a few months ago and were jaws dropped staring at all the beautiful yumminess. I had tacos, chicken and dumplings, salad, desserts, soup, ice cream, lasagna... and probably more I can't remember. The taco shells were stale... and that is my only complaint.

Awesome Cioppino...and service!
DESCRIPTION: I've never eaten a better cioppino--and I've had many. And I have never EVER had speedier table service. The wait (30-45min) was a bit, but well worth it. A waitress arrived at my table within seconds of being seated, and food within another 15. The crowd is the only point that detracted from the overall dining experience, but who can fault the restaurant? This is definitely THEE best restaurant at The Beach.

DESCRIPTION: Me and my sister had a Great dinner at the BIG Fish Grill. It was very tastey, our problem was our server "Lauren" apparently she had a fight with her boyfriend or something along those lines. Her eyes were swollen and she kept tripping all over the resturant and was very disorganized. This restaurant needs to think a little harder about the credability of some of their staff, she wasn't the only one we saw that evening!

DESCRIPTION: There are two dining areas in the Hotel Du Pont: The Green Room and the The Brandywine Room I have eaten brunch in The Green Room and let me tell you it was wonderful; the atmosphere is amazing the food was great (I to this day compare any pastry they I ever eat to the divine creations I was received there). It was a combination of table service for a main course and buffet for other stuff. <P> I have eaten dinner in The Brandywine Room. Finely carved dark wood makes for great ambiance. The food was good but I would probably give it four stars. <P> On the whole I would call this place is a very good restaurant, pricey but worth it. I don t think it quite hits the amazing mark that one might call five stars.

Best Sushi in the area
DESCRIPTION: A friend and I went to this restaurant together with the intention of reviewing it. We both love sushi so were naturally predisposed to like it.<P>The restaurant is tucked in the back of a fairly tacky strip mall. Inside however, it is a surprisingly large and nice place. The ambiance was nice but nothing really outstanding, it was really the details that made it special.<P>On to the food: For sushi this is really the best place I have found in Delaware, it is probably the most expensive too. (But think about it Do you ever go to sushi for a cheap meal?) The price is well worth it in terms of quality.<P>For an appetizers we got Salmon Arazudaikon Maki A weird salmon and radish combination. We were not all too thrilled with it. We would not order it again. Ika Wakame No Nuta Squid in Miso Sauce With Seaweed. Tasty, try to eat the squid with only a little bit of seaweed. It was the most tender squid I have ever eaten. This we WILL order again, but it is only for the adventuresome.<P>The Miso soup was average. Really nothing to write home about (although I would stab you with my spoon if you tried to take mine away)<P>Then came the main course of lots of sushi. It was all wonderful save one roll we got. It was a roll that contained salmon (it might have been the Shogan roll) but they cooked the salmon. Sushi other than eel or shrimp should not be cooked. If you are going to stray from that guideline a warning label should be placed on the menu (in flaming red letters).<P>Both me and my friend like wasabi and we got it. If you are not a fan of wasabi you should probably ask for less.<P>Notes on the rice: The rice was a little softer than I have seen in the past without too strong of a flavor. Definitely The Best Sushi In The Area.
DESCRIPTION: This is the best sushi I have found in a while and no others come close in Delaware. We tried another (actually more expensive place-I won't name any names) and it was horrible. It tasted like the sushi had been rinsed with dishwater. The sushi at Utage is fresh and very well prepared. I have had their cooked food as well and was very pleased. A nice place to go, even for the family (it's not too stuffy).

5 STAR!!! You've got to try this place!
DESCRIPTION: I'm going Japanese, I really think so. Get ready for fun, fire, and the best Japanese-style food you've ever had. The chefs cook right had the table and show off some skills that make the whole experience fun and entertaining. Each chef has their own style with a pizazz of egg spinning, spatula flipping, jokes, and/or presentational talents. What's more phenomenal though is the end product. Wow! Steak, chicken, and shrimp never tasted so good anywhere! Vegtable, rice and salad also come with the meal. Try a Saporo (Japanese beer) to wash it all down and you have the perfect meal. After that sit back to take in the traditional Japanese decor, then be sure to thank the hostess in a komono for the attentive service. Hopefully someday soon I'll get brave enough to try sushi or sashimi for the first time. A friend says it's awesome there. I think I'll need a second job so I can go more often.

The Perfect Sandwich
DESCRIPTION: When I moved to Delaware from New York City I figured I knew the best sandwiches in the world. I was wrong. I knew the second best. The best is the Delaware Sub. And nobody does it better than Casapulla's. Casapulla's North, a relatively recent branch of the original family deli in Elsmere, keeps the tradition not only alive but vibrant. Subs the Real Deal
DESCRIPTION: Casapulla's makes the best Italian subs on the planet. These are as different from "Subway" as charbroiled steak is from MacDonalds! Rolls are crunchy outside, chewy inside. Meats (pepper ham, capicolla, salami) are fresh and tasty. Lettuce, tomato, onion, oregano, pepper, sweet or hot peppers, drenched with light salad oil. No mayo here! Their Philly cheesesteaks are fab, too!

Toscano To Go
DESCRIPTION: We haven't been to Toscana but the restaurant has a take-out facility in the same plaza which is wonderful. There is limited seating inside and some outdoor seating when the weather permits. Every dish we have tried has been wonderful. The servers are knowledgeable, very helpful and they don't seem to mind if you need some extra time to decide. "To Go" is an excellent place to pick up some Le Bus bread, sit and have a cup of coffee and desert, or take home an entire dinner.
