Indeed a Family Restaurant
DESCRIPTION: Lori's has been providing locals and hordes of tourists with the best family-type fare in Durango for a number of years now. Always a "good" sign! A little noisy during the "rush hours," but otherwise, competent, and fairly quick service. Varied menu, including all the usual kids' favorites. Very reasonable prices, especially considering this is a "tourist" town. (And deservedly so! Gorgeous scenery!) Recommended by this long-time Durango area visitor.

Best Coffee in the Lower Valley!
DESCRIPTION: Java Joes in Carbondale serves Ibis coffee, which is not only great tasting it is also fair trade, shade grown and certified organic! Wireless internet is a plus and makes for a good work environment. Some renovation is going on currently.

Rocky Mountain Drive-In
DESCRIPTION: Rocky Mountain Drive-in is a small yet Family Friendly Burger and Ice Cream restaurant that offers the convenience of drive through service and local delivery. The restaurant carries an old fashioned 1950-1960's theme. A Pool table and several video games are on located for Family entertainment. Their simple yet tasteful menu includes Burgers of all sizes including the "Biggest Burger" that is big enough to satisfy any appetite, a variety of sandwiches, Hot dogs, Fries, cheese stixs, salads, and much more. They also offer a full service ice cream "bar" that serves up the best hand-made Milkshakes Around. With an average price range of $2.45 to $6.95, most any family can afford a quality family night out. The friendly family atmosphere at Rocky Mountain Drive-In and affordable menu selections makes this small town Restaurant a pleasurable dinning experience for everyone.

DESCRIPTION: The food was outstanding, especilly for it's somewhat isolated location. The service was great, I felt as if I was at home. Loved it's old time atmosphere and history. Overall, it's a must to stop if your in the NW corner of Colorado, worth the drive.

DESCRIPTION: We spent two days there and had breakfast each day and dinner one evening. Every meal was delightful. Presentation and flavor were exceptional. The staff was informative and we particularly enjoyed getting to meet the chef and chat near the fireplace after dinner. Desserts were fabulous. I would rather have an evening here than at The French Laundry. We loved the relaxing atmosphere.
