Unexpected perfection
DESCRIPTION: We hadn't eaten at Club 41 for 5 years, and were excited to try it once again with another couple. Excellent prime rib, fish, and pasta. Exquisite service. Great atmosphere, mixed ages---twenties to seventies. Not the jammed "in" place, but better. Perfect. Going to lunch again to meet my birthfather for the first time on Friday, Nov 7th, 2003.

First and last time
DESCRIPTION: A few months ago, some friends and I had a 5pm reservation at DeLacey's Club 41 and we arrived early. We requested a round table away from the door and were told that a large party was expected and all other tables were reserved! They sat us right next to the door where it was very noisy and busy. We had a rude waiter to boot! My order was not right and when I asked him about it, he told me it was what I had ordered. Not wanting to make a scene, I let it slide and suffered through a tasteless pasta dish of linguine and mussels(I had requested clams). We were there for about an hour and a half and only one table with a "reserved" sign on it was occupied! We were totally given the shaft and it was the worst dining experience I have ever had. I will never go back.

Longboarder Cafe
DESCRIPTION: I've just eaten at the Longboarder Cafe for the first time since they moved from next to Hobie (Surf Ride). The service and food has really changed. The service was lousy. It took forever to even clean our table from the previous customers. The food was even worse than the service. I ordered the french toast breakfast with a side of biscuts and gravy. I could've sworn that I ordered the child's plate. I got two eggs, two paperthin pieces of bacon and one piece of french toast (two halves). Even the worst restaurant would give you four halves. Now for my biscuts and gravy............I never got them. Not only that I never seen our waiter to tell him. He never showed up again after dumping our food off. So we ate with no drink refills. What a shame. I don't recommend eating there, and I will never go back.

Find A Different Restaurant For Your Meal
DESCRIPTION: The food was mediocre at best. The service was lousy. And the owner is a REAL piece of work: she yelled at us because we had the gall to tell our waitress we did not like the food. (She said she retrieved our rejected food from the trash, tasted it, and found it to be just fine.) We understand that a local merchants group stopped meeting at her restaurant because she was so unaccommodating. There are lots of other nice restaurants in the area; you would be better off selecting one of the others.

GREAT PLACE TO EAT
DESCRIPTION: This is the best place for breakfast, lunch or dinner. We have been going to the Longboarder for about 2 years now and the food and service are the best. Give this place a try. You'll walk out full and happy.
