DESCRIPTION: I can understand all the hoopla regarding the atmosphere at Johnnie's: The open kitchen, the '50s era staff and decor, the jukeboxes and their reputation. But I went to Johnnie's yesterday, for the second time, and had the absolutely, hands-down WORST chicken sandwich I've ever had...and it wasn't cheap, either. During my first visit, I ordered the pastrami, of course, and found it very mediocre with respect to its reputation. I know they use quality pastrami, Vienna brand...Maybe my dislike for the sandwich had to do with the cook not wearing gloves, touching his face and then handling the cooked products. Well, I did complain on my second visit regarding the chicken sandwich bomb and was told (by the owner's wife I found out later) that I should be ashamed for complaining about their chicken sandwich. To top it off, she told me through her window not to come back as she was exiting the parking lot in her 7 Series BMW! I'm not used to be treated like that as an interested, paying customer; having insinuated nothing but a sincere complaint. Poor food, a dirty restaurant and a mean owner's wife doesn't deserve my business.

Tito's is the best fast mexican food.
DESCRIPTION: I moved from the area and I really miss Tito's:( Their bean and cheese burritos, tostadas, guacamole, Mexican rice, salsa and chips have great flavor. Their salsa is wonderful. Great prices,too. :) I don't eat beef or chicken but people love their beef tacos too. I wish they would open a Tito's near Woodland Hills.

DESCRIPTION: I lived in Culver City all the years of growing up. My Mother introduced me to Tito's when I was about 10. I graduated from Culver High School, in 1967, and unfortunately moved to Oregon, but whenever my husband and I are in the area, we make sure to stop, and bring several containers to bring back the salsa. The best tacos and meat and chesse burritos anywhere.

The Tito's Habit
DESCRIPTION: I used to live 4 blocks from Tito's and though I was sceptical of the food my first time, I quickly grew addicted to their tacos. Granted, it is not a traditional taco with soft shell, but combined with the salsa and the creamy guac I am convinced that there is something in the food because I could it there everyday of the week. UNBELIEVABLE!

DESCRIPTION: I had my first Tito's Burrito about 1960. They were located on the corner of Washington and Sepulveda at the time. Their menu was very simple; tacos, meat burrito, bean burrito, tostadas, rice and refied beans. Back then the tacos didn't even have cheese on them. I can remember people asking for cheese on their tacos and getting a blank stare from the people behind the counter. I moved away from the area in 1977, but whenever I'm there I try to stop in. The amazing thing is that after all this time, everything still taste just as great as it did in 1960.

Tito's is the Best
DESCRIPTION: I've been eating at Tito's since 1962 at the old location. I hope they never change their tacos and burritos. Everytime I go there I know exactly what I'm going to get. Since I don't live near Tito's anymore I only get to treat myself once in a while which makes it all that more special. Must be great. The LINES are there all the time every day for years and years.

Quality Mexican Food
DESCRIPTION: I live an hour away from Tito's, but since my friens introduced me to it, we make frequent trips there... When we have to make the choice between driving five minutes to get La Salsa or Taco Bell or an hour to Tito's, nine out of ten times we pick Tito's, and never once have we regretted it.

Simply Good
DESCRIPTION: Beef Tacos (with or with-out cheese, Burritos all meat or with beans, rice and cheese (a combination burrito). A few other menu items Tamales, Enchilads to name a couple are part of the Mexican Fast Food genre that has become familar to most of us. Tito's is not as innovative as a Taco Bell or Del Taco. Tito's presents good/familiar food at reasonable prices in festive(crowded?) family environment. Try it, you may like it.

DESCRIPTION: titos tacos and burritos became a part of my upbringing. Not traditional by any means the tacos are hardshell with cheese but boy do they hit the spot. The same goes for their burritos. I love their bean and cheese burritos as well as their regular beef burrito. if you're a titos regular you probably have had a double wrapped regular burrito with cheese. taste explosion!

This is the best Italian restaurant in LA period
DESCRIPTION: This is the best Italian food in Los Angeles period. The prices are excellent considering the portions and quality of the food. Everything on the menu is delicious. I only had one bad experience with Gnocchi and I hope that they have corrected it. You must bring your own wine and there is a corkage fee. One of my favorite dishes here is the Farfalle al Salmone which is salmon and bowtie shaped pasta with a pink sauce. ANYTHING WITH EGGPLANT IS AWESOME HERE. I have no idea how they roast the eggplant but it is incredible. Located at the corner of Clarington and Venice BL I know the owner personally and he gives excellent service. Very conscientious.

DESCRIPTION: A few days ago I went to George Petrelli Steak House for lunch with my boyfriend for his birthday. It was terrible. When you first walk in it has the basic wood and brown leather look typical to a steak house. We started off with a couple sprites and an appetizer of fried scallops. The sprites were already small and had too much ice. This would not have bothered me if they didn't charge for refills, but they do! Six dollars for four small sodas!! Then the scallops came-there were about ten tiny scallops on a nearly empty plate, and it cost $10.75! Next we ordered our main courses. I ordered the fillet mignon for 14.95(seemed reasonable) and my boyfriend ordered the lobster for $30.00. When we got our meals my steak was terrble surrounded by overcooked, gray vegetables and underdone fries. The lobster was about 3in x 3in.! Also surrounded by soggy fries and dead vegetables. A $30.00 lobster should be a lot more then a small piece that looked like it came out of a frozen fillet box! The meal cost nealry $70.00 for all that! What a rip off!!! I was crying by the end of the meal! It ruined my plan for a nice meal on my boyfriend's birthday!

What used to be a quality eatery
DESCRIPTION: After living in Culver City and frequenting this establishment regularly, it was my sad experience to return after several years. The service was terrible, the waiter surly and the manager worse! Not only was she not helpful, but absolutely insulting. To finish a truly horrible experience the food...terrible, the steaks, the pasta, the childrens menu items. After all these years, perhaps it is time to close the doors. THE BOTTOM LINE: Don't Go!
