DESCRIPTION: First the ice cream: Double Rainbow is a chain based in San Francisco. It's quality ice cream with a variety of flavors, similar to Baskin-Robbins, except better quality and fewer flavors. <P> The sandwiches are well-made and since they include soup or salad, really are worth the price (about $5). The salads have plenty of greens and extras. The soups change daily and are home-made.

DESCRIPTION: This is the cutest cafe, with excellent food. I take my daughter here after every school event and get an ice cream. I also took the girls at work here for lunch, now it's a monthly event for our office. This cafe reminds me of some I visited in Europe.

Great Place
DESCRIPTION: Albondigas is great, also their salsa. Great Mexican food. It isn't a busy place but the food is to die for. Great family owned place and wonderful owners. Nicest people ever. Also great prices and big portions.

Great Tasting Mexican Food
DESCRIPTION: Thank you El Pueblito for many excellent lunches and dinners. I love your tacos, enchiladas, chile relleno omlettes, and all the rest. Great prices and wonderful service. Always friendly and accomodating. It is a great to have an independent, family oriented place right in our downtown Clovis neighborhood. I have introduced a lot of friends to El Pueblito and have not been disappointed. Great daily specials and always something good and not to expensive for a quick lunch.

DESCRIPTION: I'm not the sushi expert but my friend who is swears that Kijima's is THE place to eat sushi in Fresno & Clovis. All I know is, everything was prepared well, fresh and the only things I didn't like were because of the flavors of the fish, not because of the preparation.

Kijima's is better than the best
DESCRIPTION: I have traveled all over California and have found very few Japanese and sushi restaurants that meet Kijima's standards. Rivaling the eloquent Japanese dining in far larger cities, Kijima's is without a doubt a hidden treasure of Fresno/Clovis. "Jack" Kijima is a master of his craft and an excellent host. What the location lacks in traditional Japanese beauty, the food and service more than make up for.

World's greatest sushi
DESCRIPTION: Wow what can I say that most of Fresno/Clovis doesn't already know. Jack Kijima makes incredibly good food. The only thing lacking at Kijima is an authentic atmosphere; service is great, food is great. I only hope it doesn't get too packed with other sushi eaters.

DESCRIPTION: Sandy's is your typical local breakfast/lunch casual joint. I've tried both breakfast and lunch meals there. Both were well done. The portions are very generous, and it's nice to know that you'll be able to eat your breakfast w/o worrying about undercooked eggs and burnt toast.

Wear Loose Pants
DESCRIPTION: Especially if you go for dinner, you may need a wheelchair to get you out. There is so much good food floating around this place that you will stop eating for one brief moment, and then...Wham! You'll realize that you are stuffed. All-you-can-eat breadsticks and salad with fresh grated parmesan; great cream sauces, sinful desserts (I dare you to try and save room) I've been here a dozen or more times, and have had dessert only once.

DESCRIPTION: Bobby Salazar's is an offshoot of the original Sal's in Selma, CA. Sal's and its 'children' have been very popular with the Valley crowds, but I find it to be just an average Mexican restaurant. I've never had anything bad, but I've never had anything memorable there either.
