Casual Atmosphere and Family Oriented
DESCRIPTION: We just moved to Bluffton and were instantly taken by this place. There's a wide variety of items on the menu so there's always something for the finicky eater in the family (usually me!). It offers tables or boothes; TV/Sport viewing or not, etc. Nice atmosphere - conducive to all. We've become Saturday evening regulars since our first visit (about 5 weeks ago).

Fritzls
DESCRIPTION: We tried the wienerschnitzel,brats and weiss sausage for the main courses. Very generous servings. Sauerkraut and potatoes are done to perfection. The meats are cooked well. Food was just the right temperature. Restaurant is small but adequate. Don't leave without some homemade strudel! Prices are moderate. It is worth a try!!!!! We'll be back.

DESCRIPTION: This used to be great for excellent European cuisine at reasonable prices. The secret was in saving the costs usually sunk in location and decor by setting up your operation in a bare bones storefront complete with vinyl chairs and plastic tablecloths! If you did not arrive with the early birds, you were always stuck in a line to order your food and then to find an empty table. And when done, you were responsible for busing your own table. Besides the lines, jostling for a table or dealing with the folks playing vulture and hanging over you while you eat can be uncomfortable. But the food was exquisite. My favorite was a boneless chicken breast in Marsala sauce. In addition to the Austrian, French, and Italian entrees, there were salads, pizzas and some sandwiches at lunch. And an extensive beer and wine list. Take out is also an option for those who don't like the crowds or the table vultures. But, the chef moved on and left Cafe Monti in the hands of the employees. Haven't been there since the management change, so not sure if the same standards are being maintained. But if they are, just the experience of eating good value, fine food in a not-so-fine dining room is worth at least one visit!

Little has changed
DESCRIPTION: It's unfortunate that the reader never returned as nothing noticable has changed at the restaraunt other than a few faces, although the man who cooked with Monti for so many years is still around and still turning out some of the best food in town. The prices aren't "cheap," but they are affordable, and every dime truly goes into the quality of the food. This is not a place for ambiance. I've rated the service and ambiance average because quite honestly, they are for what you're there for. This is not a place to be waited on and you can bus your own tables.

Excellent Austrian/German Dishes
DESCRIPTION: I enjoyed the food very much. The menu was extensive (mostly german/austrian) and the prices were very reasonable. Good selection of eines. Will return many more times.

Alright Food -- Watch Prices Though!
DESCRIPTION: Food was good, and served pretty promptly. Different prices from menu to bill annoyed us! Some prices didn't match the menu. For example: beers listed as $2.50 on menu -- charged $3.00 -- and "crabcakes" are -- surprise -- (1) crabcake. Staff needs to be better trained -- didn't understand featured Hacker Pschorr 16oz German beer name. C'mon in a German restaurant? Overall -- food was alright and ambiance ok. I have been to much better German places, even one in New Hampshire.

Excellent Restaurant
DESCRIPTION: I recently returned from a two week business trip in Europe and upon returning wanted to dine at the European Bistro for comparison purposes. The food was incredible, the service was excellent and the atmosphere was just like I had never left Germany! I have nothing but good things to say about the restaurant and highly recommend you try it.

Great ambiance
DESCRIPTION: As soon as you walk in here you can tell that this is something special. Authentic food, attentive staff and how about that accordian player! A taste of Europe in downtown Pflugerville!
